The Mayflower Autonomous Ship is made of multiple systems, they are assembled to allow the ship to navigate from A to B, from Plymouth UK to Plymouth USA. We will look at the ship systems from the to architecture down to each elements and how they are connected together starting from the Power AI vision up to deciding to turn , stop , accelerate. Eric Aquaronne is in the Worldwide IBM hardware products strategy team since 2015. Eric focuses on how to have a system’s cohesive approach on: Cloud technologies (making eve-rything work as a cloud, with containers, and in multi-clouds), Artificial Intelligence (Deep Learning, Machine Learning and accelerating training), Security. Most recently Eric has be-come a Quantum Ambassador helping companies to assess how to get ready and use this very different new type of computers.
Through this strategic technology focus Eric is working on very innovative projects like the Mayflower autonomous ship and its cognitive capacities, the CERN collision sensors events selections (10 million collision events per second and a deep learning solution). And to ex-plain use cases and value to client teams as they face strategic decisions.
Prior to this role Eric was the Systems Lab Services Business Unit Executive for CAMS (Cloud, Analytics, Mobile, Social): growing and driving a pool of 1100 experts worldwide, and delivering cloud projects since 2006.
Eric has a culture of working in all geographies & cultures with multiple management positions since he started with IBM developing networking products (real time kernels and systems) and OSS/BSS layers after a master’s in electrical engineering and an MBA.

Eric Aquaronne fait partie de l'équipe globale de stratégie produits matériels d'IBM depuis 2015. Eric s'assure que ces matériels IBM aient une approche commune sur les technologies de Cloud (que tous les sytèmes puissent faire partie de multi-clouds, avec des conte-neurs...), sur l'Intelligence Artificielle (Deep Learning, Machine Learning, accelérant les temps de 'training'), et sur la Sécurité. Eric est devenu 'Ambassadeur' quantique des 2018 afin d'aider les sociétés qu'il rencontre àévaluer comment être se préparer pour ce nouveau type de calculateurs.
Grace àson expertise technologique, Eric travaille sur des projets innovants tels que le Mayflower Autonomous Ship et ses capacités cognitives (https://www.futura-sciences.com/tech/actualites/intelligence-artificielle-bateau-autonome-mayflower-pilote-ai-va-traverser-atlantique-77997/), ou le traitement des données des capteurs du CERN lors des collisions de particules (10 millions d'évènements pas seconde et des solu-tions de Deep Learning). Ainsi il est amenéàparler des case d'usages des technologies avec des clients ayant a faire des choix strategiques.
Le rôle précédent d'Eric était celui de diriger une équipe mondiale d'experts (1000+) de-ployant les technologies CAMS (Cloud,Analytique, Mobile, Social) sur des systèmes IBM de-puis 2006.
Eric a toujours travaillédans un environnement global et culturellement diverse, il a commencésa carrière en développant des produits de réseaux (noyaux temps réels) et des couches OSS/BSS, après un diplome d'ingenieur et un MBA
