Abstract

The talk provides a gentle introduction to Natural Language Processing (NLP). It explains how NLP relates to Text-mining and other areas of AI, such as Machine Learning, Chatbots, etc. The talk covers the basic building blocks of NLP. It discusses the challenges that make NLP an interesting problem area and some of the practical applications. It gives a high-level overview of commonly understood tools and techniques in NLP.
The talk is intended for Beginner to Intermediate audiences.
The talk can optionally include code snippets and hands-on workshop where participants get to practice some of the techniques.
